Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public works Director <br />SUBJECT: Request to Add Two Street Lights to the Gifford Street Light District <br />REF. LEITER: John M. Hett, President, Lindsey Lanes H.O.A. to Jim Davis dated <br />Nov. 27, 1995 <br />DATE: December 4, 1995 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The new Lindsey Lanes Subdivision is located within the Gifford Street Light <br />District7which was established in the early 1980'x. Since the property owners <br />within the subdivision pay the street light. district assessment each year, they are <br />requesting two street lights to be located along 49th Street (Lindsey Road) at the <br />47th Court and 50th Drive intersections. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the new subdivision has created additional parcels to be assessed within the <br />street light district, revenue to the district has increased due to subdivision <br />platting. The two lights requested will cost approximately $400/year. The <br />alternatives presented are as follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the request and issue a work order to FPL for the lights to be <br />installed. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the request. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the request be approved. Funding to be from the Gifford <br />Street Light District. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />Alternate #1 approving the request and authorizing <br />the issuance of a work order for the lights to be_ <br />installed, as recommended by staff. <br />DECEMBER 12, 1995 20 <br />U <br />_I <br />
