Macht <br />Jef Barton ler � Chairman <br />Attachment: ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />PAINTINGS DONATED TO ADMINISTRATION BUILDING <br />Chairman Macht announced that the new paintings in the <br />Chambers were painted and donated by Bette Saunders and are very <br />representative of local flora and fauna, as well as being very <br />pretty. <br />DISCUSSION REGARDING NON -CREW NAL TRAFFIC FINES AND <br />RETIREMENT REGULATIONS <br />The Board reviewed articles from the Florida Association of <br />Counties News & Notes of December 8, 1995: <br />'Noncriminal Traffic Fines: The S nate Transportation <br />Committee agreed to MWtroduc roposed committee bill to <br />cture and improve the accounting <br />and disbursement process. Recommended changes include: <br />(1) establishing a system of regularized fines for speeding <br />violations that could not be exceeded at the local level, and <br />(2) allowing the current 512.00 fee assessed for the <br />reinstatement of driver's licenses to be deposited into as <br />appropriate trust fund to enhance the automation of civil <br />traffic activities of the clerks of the court. pronosedi <br />administrative fees., (Smith) <br />'Rft <br />— �remenly The House Committee on Governmental' <br />completed two studies on the Florida Retirement <br />Regular and Special Risk Employees: Now Does <br />the FRS Compare? and Public Sector Deferred Compensa- <br />tion: Are Employer Contributions OK? Legislation is expected <br />from the Div. of Retirement on deferred compensation plans <br />and the use of public money contributed to the plan being <br />declared compensation for purposes of the FRS.
