• <br />8/28/87(s4)LEGAL(SPB/nm) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-43A <br />WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA intends to accept the <br />conditions of and enter into a Project Development Agreement <br />No. F86-050 with the State of Florida, Department of Natural <br />Resources for acceptance of a grant from the Florida <br />Recreation Development Assistance Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the total project cost will be greater <br />than $225,000, to be comprised of $150,000 to be contributed <br />by the State and a minimum of $75,000 to be contributed by <br />Indian River County to make needed improvements to the <br />Indian River County Golden Sands Park; and <br />WHEREAS, said BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, does retain ownership, <br />jurisdictional control, and maintain said park and <br />facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY has officially <br />adopted a local comprehensive plan including a recreation <br />and open space element pursuant to local government <br />comprehensive planning act of 1975, Chapter 163.3161, and <br />all segments of the public were offered an opportunity to <br />participate in the planning process leading to adoption of <br />the document; and <br />WHEREAS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY has a program of <br />public participation which encourages involvement by all <br />segments of the population within its jurisdiction, <br />Including minorities and disadvantaged citizens, and a plan <br />for the selection of recreational projects; and <br />WHEREAS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY has committed the <br />required program matching contribution from the County <br />General Fund to the proposed project which will remain <br />available until needed; and <br />0 <br />i <br />
