8/28/87 <br />Jeff3 <br />LR -Planning <br />DN/vh <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-83A <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL <br />GRANT-IN-AID FOR AN HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLANNING <br />PROJECT, DESIGNATING THE DIRECTOR OF THE PLANNING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT DIVISION AS THE PROJECT SUPERVISOR, AND <br />CONFIRMING THAT THE REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS SHALL BE IN <br />THE FORM OF IN-KIND SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has never had a formal <br />historical sites survey conducted within its legal jurisdictional <br />borders; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has very few, if any, historical <br />or archaeological sites recorded on the Florida Master Site File; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, CHAPTER 9J-5 of the Florida Administrative Code <br />requires that historical resources be addressed in the future land <br />use, housing and coastal management elements of local government <br />comprehensive plans; and <br />WHEREAS, The federal grant-in-aid application for the <br />proposed historic preservation project requires that the Board of <br />County Commissioners designate a project supervisor; and <br />WHEREAS, said application requires that the Board of County <br />Commissioners confirm the amount specified as matching funds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that: <br />1. The foregoing recitals are adopted and ratified in their <br />entirety. <br />2. The submission of the application for federal <br />grant-in-aid for an historic preservation survey and <br />planning project is hereby authorized. <br />3. The project supervisor is hereby designated to be the <br />Director of the Planning and Development Division. <br />9. The fifty percent ($15,562 ) matching funds are hereby <br />confirmed and shall be in the form of in-kind services. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Eggert who moved its adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner WipoiPr and, upon being put to a <br />vote, the vote was as follows: <br />
