1/1/88(W/res)LEGAL(WGCnm) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-5 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ON GRANT ASSISTANCE UNDER THE <br />FLORIDA INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT <br />GRANTS TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS PROGRAM, FOR <br />THE WABASSO CAUSEWAY PARK PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is interested in <br />carrying out the following described project for the <br />enjoyment of the citizenry of Indian River and surrounding <br />counties and the State of Florida: <br />Project_Title: Wabasso Causeway Park <br />Total_ Estimated_ Cost: $250,000.00 <br />Brief_ Project _Descript!on: To develop a county <br />park on the Wabasso Causeway for picnicking, fishing, <br />boating, sailboarding and general recreation. The park will <br />contain picnic shelters, barbecue areas, landscaping, <br />parking facilities, safety features, signs, markings, paving <br />and drainage design. <br />AND WHEREAS, Florida Inland Navigation District <br />financial assistance is required for the program mentioned <br />above; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is applying for a <br />grant from the Florida Inland Navigation District; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County must formally adopt a <br />resolution designating such project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Indian River County that the Wabasso <br />Causeway Park Project be authorized, designated and <br />established so as to be eligible for funding by the Florida <br />Inland Navigation District; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County make application to the <br />Florida Inland Navigation District in the amount of 50$ of <br />the actual cost of the project on behalf of said Indian <br />River County; and <br />
