FEC GRADE CROSSING LICENSE AGREEMENT - GLENDALE ROAD <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 11, 1995: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Railroad Grade Crossing License Agreement <br />Glendale Road <br />RE: Letter from Ronald E. Holmes, Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT) to Christopher R. Mora, <br />dated November 29, 1995 <br />DATE: December 11, 1995 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Florida Department of Transportation proposes to have the <br />Florida East Coast Railway Co. install cantilevered automatic grade <br />crossing traffic control devices at the Glendale Road - F.E.C. <br />railroad crossing. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />This construction project is funded by the Federal Highway <br />Administration and the Department - of Transportation, with no <br />construction' cost to the County. The cost of construction is <br />estimated to be $133,190.00, with completion.slated for 1997. The <br />County is obligated to pay yearly maintenance costs in the amount <br />of $2,117.00. The County is currently paying this fee. <br />Alternative No. -I <br />Approve the license agreement and <br />execute it on behalf of the County. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny approval. <br />authorize the chairman to <br />RECOMMENDATIONS & FUNDING <br />Staff recommends Alternative No. 1 whereby the agreement is <br />approved. Funding to continue to be from the Traffic Engineering <br />FEC maintenance budget. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 95-171 and approved the Agreement, per <br />staff's recommendation as set forth in the <br />memorandum.
