TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3rd 1933._ <br />Vie Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />(:ourt House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. Tuesday, October 3rd 1933, with the <br />following members of the Board present: J.J.P.liamilton, Chairman; J. D. YYongue; H. E. <br />Mudge; John X. might and Edwin A. helseth. <br />Villiam Prick, Sheriff. <br />,Llso present were Miles Warrens Clerk and <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br />A. E. Conway appeared before the Board and requested permission to repair a dock <br />at the East end of the Vero Bridge. The Board advised him that whatever was agreeable <br />with the City will be satisfactory with this Board. <br />Commissioner Mudge moved that the woad Superintendent make weekly report to the Clea <br />showing daily report of work done and material used and etc. Such motion being seconded <br />by Commissioner Knight was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Yongue moved that road funds be expended in each Commissioners Dist. <br />according to amount of taxes paid in each of said Districts. Such motion was lost for <br />want of a second, it being the opinion of the Board that same should be taken under <br />advisement and consideration. <br />The Notary Public bond of Ralph Sedgwick in the sum of X500.00 with American Surety <br />vompany, a corporation, as surety was approved. <br />F. Earl DeLoe and W. it. Earns, architects, each appeared before the Board and sub- <br />mitted their plans 00and specifications for proposed Court House. Each also submitted <br />their proposals as to charge for superintending the construction of same. After careful] <br />considering every matter pertaining to this subject, and after full and complete dis- <br />cussion by the Board, it was moved, seconded and carried that W. it. tarns be employed <br />on a basis of §2,320.00 in the event the loan and grant is seeuted from the Federal <br />Government --this figure to be on a basis of X589000.00 and no more. Copy of said agr <br />being duly executed and filed with this Board. <br />The ;Mate Engineer and Mr. Butler appeared before the Board and advised they had <br />checked <br />over the necessary repairs <br />to <br />be made to <br />roads in this County on <br />account of sto <br />damage <br />and advised the Board that <br />the <br />State goad <br />Department will complete <br />the repairs <br />to these roads and also complete the repairs to the Vero Bridge. <br />a letter was received from A* C. MacConnell, City Clerk of Vero Beach, advising <br />that the City will offer Lots 1 to 9 in Block 359 original Town as a Court House site. <br />it was ordered that Tom Herring, negro, Fellsmere, be placed on the pauper list to <br />receive the sum of §3.00 per month. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were <br />and found correct, were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. The <br />bills and accounts being on file in the office of Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so <br />issued from the respective funds being listed completely in the County Finance record as <br />provided by law, reference to such record and the list so recorded being made a part of <br />these minutes as fully and completely as if the same were set out herein in detail. <br />The County Depository filed its monthly report of receipts and disbursements of the <br />various funds, which having been checked were found to be correct. <br />There being no further business the Board adjourned until vdednesday, October 4th <br />1933. <br />Al TE 'T' : t,�iai rm1 n <br />ow <br />C 1 e r k. <br />I- - - - - - - - - - <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
