Borax 97 7 <br />ORDINANCE 96- 02 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 302 <br />ANIMAL <br />CONTROL <br />AND <br />KENNEL REGULATIONS <br />OF THE <br />INDIAN <br />RIVER <br />COUNTY CODE TO <br />REFLECT <br />CHAPTER <br />94-339 <br />LAWS OF FLORIDA. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 94-339 Laws .of Florida has made substantial <br />amendments to classification of dogs as dangerous; and <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable for the County Code to reflect these <br />amendments as well as some other minor changes, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br />Chapter 302 the Indian River County Code is amended as set forth <br />in Appendix "A" to this ordinance. <br />SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or any sentence, paragraph, phrase, or word of <br />this ordinance is for anv reason held to be unconstitutional. <br />inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining <br />portions of this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the <br />legislative intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, <br />invalid or inoperative part. <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />This ordinance shall become effective February 1, 1996. <br />Approved and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, on this 2nd day of januar,y , 1996. <br />This ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press -Journal on <br />the 20th day of December, 1995, for a public hearing to be held on the <br />2nd day of January, 1996, at which time it was moved for adoption by <br />Commissioner Eggert seconded by Commissioner <br />Bird and adopted by the following vote: <br />27 <br />JANUARY 2 1996 <br />
