Does your Board approve the annual budget and review regular financial reports of the operating budget and <br />:apitai runas:, how often is mis review conauctea:1 <br />The Veterans Council annual budget forecast for the fiscal year is recommended by the Board of <br />Directors, reviewed by the Finance Committee and approved by a majority vote of the VCIRC voting <br />members at the Annual Meeting in October. The Treasurer prepares monthly and YTD financial <br />statements, along with a budget status report for the BOD monthly meetings. Financial status is also <br />reported at the monthly VCIRC meetings. <br />The Finance Committee, advises the BOD in case of any discrepancies or improprieties. VCIRC's <br />bookkeeping is prepared by a local CPA and reviewed by the Treasurer and Executive Officers. VCIRC <br />also employs a second, unrelated CPA, to audit its records annually and recommend efficiencies and <br />additional safeguards to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). <br />2.
