INDIAN RIVER COUNTY NONPROFIT / QUASI AGENCY REQUEST FOR FUNDING <br />D. Finances <br />9. Does your Board approve the annual budget and review regular financial reports of the operating budget <br />and capital funds? How often is this review conducted? <br />The Board reviews and approves the annual budget prior to the end of the fiscal year. Monthly finance <br />committee meetings review the agency operating budget and capital funds and submit financial reports <br />for approval at the monthly board meetings. An independent auditor conducts a final audit with the audit <br />report and copies of the agency's 990 distributed to and reviewed by the Board. <br />2. Does any outside organization (such as a governmental unit) conduct periodic evaluations of the <br />a enc 's tinances, management or programs? If yes, list theagencies. <br />Mental Health America- Mental Health Association in Indian River County is the local affiliate of <br />national Mental Health America. Affiliation is required every 3 years with a review of the board of <br />directors, strategic planning, agency bylaws, 990's, and financial audits as well as clinical programs. <br />Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network (SEFBHN)- SEFBHN is the managing entity for the <br />Florida Department of Children and. Families and monitors our state -funded Drop -In centers in Indian <br />River, Martin, and Okeechobee counties. The managing entity also reviews agency -wide policies and <br />financials as part of their annual monitoring requirement. <br />Kmetz Nuttall Elwell Graham, PLLC — Local, independent audit firm that conducts the agency's annual <br />audit. <br />Optum Behavioral Health Network conducted a 3/11/2020 quality analysis review, yielding an Agency <br />Site Review score of 100% and a Treatment Record Review score of 100%. <br />Agency for Health Care Administration- MHA's Walk -In & Counseling Center was approved by <br />Medicaid in July 2018 after an on-site audit and inspection. <br />Grants which are reviewed annually, financially, and clinically: <br />United Way of Indian River County Community Impact <br />Indian River County Hospital District <br />John's Island Community Service League <br />John's Island Community Foundation <br />Quail Valley Charities <br />Grand Harbor Community Outreach Program <br />Indian River Community Foundation <br />Children's Services Advisory Committee <br />Head, Heart,and Hands of Indian River Club <br />Additionally, many of the funding sources listed above receive quarterly and/or six-month reports from <br />MHA. <br />3.
