Prado, Assistant County Attorney <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Dylan Reingold, County Attorney <br />DATE: August 8, 2022 <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions Cancelling Taxes <br />Resolutions have been prepared for the purpose of earmarking the public use of the following <br />properties and cancelling any delinquent, omitted or current taxes which may exist on the <br />properties obtained by Indian River County: <br />Public Purpose: 58th Ave - 33rd St. Intersection Right -of -Way <br />Location/Description: Northwest corner of 58th Avenue and 33rd Street <br />Purchased from: Venda R. Burgess <br />Instrument: Warranty Deed, recorded in Book 3557, Page 837 of the <br />public records of Indian River County <br />Public Purpose: Future Paving of 81 st Street from 66th Avenue East <br />Location/Description: Northside of 811 Street, between 58th Avenue and 66th <br />Avenue <br />Purchased from: CGV Investments, LLC <br />Instrument: Warranty Deed, recorded in Book 3557, Page 839 of the <br />public records of Indian River County <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the Resolutions to <br />cancel certain taxes upon the properties purchased by Indian River County for a public purpose, <br />and the Clerk to send a certified copy of the Resolutions to the Tax Collector and the Property <br />Appraiser so that any delinquent or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolutions <br />142 <br />
