JW <br />Consent Agenda <br />Indian River County <br />Interoffice Memorandum <br />Office of Management & Budget <br />To: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />From: Kristin Daniels <br />Director, Office of Management & Budget <br />Date: August 2, 2022 <br />Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 007 <br />Description and Conditions: <br />1. On July 5, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved funding the cost to dismantle <br />and transport the Fire Tower located adjacent to Fire Station 13. Exhibit "A" appropriates <br />funding of $97,326 from Emergency Services/Fire Rescue/Reserve for Contingency. <br />2. On July 12, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved the renewal of the annual <br />HUD Grants for the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program. Exhibit "A" appropriates the revenues <br />and expenses for these grants in the amount of $1,121,976. <br />3. The Department of Juvenile Justice has increased the annual amount due from Indian River <br />County to $548,615 effective July 1, 2022. Exhibit "A" appropriates an additional $9,973 to <br />cover payments through September 30, 2022 from General Fund/Reserve for Contingency. <br />4. On July 5, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Section 5307 and Section 5339 grants. Exhibit "A" appropriates $3,348,741 for <br />the Section 5307 grant and $455,971 for the Section 5339 grant revenues and expenses. <br />5. The Building Department has requested $185,000 in additional funds for Supplemental <br />Inspector Services. Additional revenues in building permits and planning exam fees can fund <br />the additional expense. Exhibit "A" appropriates the revenues and expenses. <br />6. The Sandridge Golf Course's revenues have exceeded expectations. Exhibit "A" appropriates <br />an additional $183,100 in revenues and expenses. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the budget resolution amending the <br />fiscal year 2021-22 budget. <br />77 <br />
