CCNA2018 WORK ORDER 9 <br />Bowman Consulting Group, LTD. <br />EXHIBIT A - SCOPE OF WORK <br />Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. (Bowman) is pleased to submit this proposal for professional engineering <br />services to Indian River County Department of Utility Services (IRCDUS) to provide Construction Administration <br />and Certification Services for the West Wabasso Septic to Sewer (S2S) Phase 36 project. <br />PROJECT BACKGROUND & UNDERSTANDING <br />Bowman services for the design, permitting and bidding of the West Wabasso S2S Phase 36 project are <br />complete. The County is currently awaiting contractor's bids. As the project prepares to move into the <br />construction phase the County has requested that Bowman provide Construction Administration and <br />Certification services to ensure the project is constructed in compliance with the bid documents. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />We propose to provide the following services: <br />Task 1— Construction Administration & Certification Services <br />Following the bid opening issuance of the Notice to Proceed Bowman will provide engineering services to <br />include the following: <br />1) Schedule and conduct a pre -construction conference with the Contractor and IRCDUS staff and provide <br />meeting minutes. Conduct a pre -work walk though to document existing conditions. <br />2) Review shop drawings and material submittals. <br />3) Review Contractor's pay requests. <br />4) Review request for information (RFI's) to help facilitate construction related activities: <br />a. Analyze and address field problems that arise <br />b. Evaluate change orders and time extension requests <br />5) Conduct periodic site visits to observe construction activities. <br />a. Prepare and maintain written reports of the contractor's progress and of significant events <br />affecting the work <br />b. Record noteworthy incidents or events with video and/or photography. <br />c. Observe and document construction testing activities — including materials testing, utility <br />testing, and other related activities. <br />d. Observe lift station start-up and certify proper operation. <br />6) Conduct Initial walk-through and prepare a punchlist upon substantial completion. <br />7) Review as -built survey provided by Contractor. <br />8) Conduct Final Inspection to ensure punchlist items are addressed. <br />9) Certify construction completion to Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Indian <br />River County Public Works. <br />10) Prepare a close-out package including inspection reports, testing data, final as-builts, and certifications. <br />These services are based on the 240 -day construction contract schedule. Increases in contract time may result in <br />additional work. <br />SERVICES NOT INCLUDED <br />Specifically excluded is resident or full-time inspection. <br />
