PROPOSED BUDGET <br />22-0701 <br />Attachments: Proposed budget and millage rates <br />County Administrator Jason Brown announced the County's proposed <br />budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2023 is $451,964,531, an increase of <br />$23,911,619 from the beginning budget for FY 2021-2022. <br />In a PowerPoint presentation, Administrator Brown highlighted the major <br />impacts to the budget for FY 2022-2023: tax roll increase of 13.5% <br />countywide and 14.4% in the unincorporated area; a 7.25 million increase <br />for Sheriffs funding (a reduction from initial request of $10.9 million <br />increase); continued funding of School Resource Officers at 50150 split <br />with School District; $2.4 million retirement rate increase countywide <br />(including Constitutional Officers); $9.7 million for deferred maintenance, <br />capital and renewal & replacement; increase in full-time positions; and the <br />increase in fuel, goods, and services. <br />Indian River County Florida Page 1 <br />
