Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final September 21, 2022 <br />A. Ad Valorem Millage and Ad Valorem Budget <br />General Fund <br />22-0769 Proposed millage is 3.5475 and is 11.03% above rolled back rate of 3.1950. The <br />proposed budget is $118,399,287. <br />M.S.T.U. <br />Attachments: RESOLUTIONS - GENERAL FUND <br />Management and Budget Director Kristin Daniels announced the proposed millage <br />rate for the General Fund. <br />Chairman O'Bryan opened the public hearing. There being no speakers, the <br />Chairman closed the hearing. <br />There were no proposed amendments to the budget. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher, seconded by Commissioner <br />Adams, to approve Resolution 2022-057, establishing the tax millage rate to be <br />levied upon all real and personal taxable property in Indian River County, <br />Florida, for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the General Fund. The motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Earman, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Moss <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Adams, <br />to approve Resolution 2022-058, amending the County Budget Officer's estimates <br />of receipts other than taxes and of balances to be brought forward for fiscal year <br />2022-2023 and adopting a final budget for the General Fund. The motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Earman, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Moss <br />22-0771 Proposed millage is 1.1506 and is 1 1.10% above rolled back rate of 1.0356. The <br />proposed budget is $44,259,621. <br />Attachments: RESOLUTIONS - MSTU <br />Management and Budget Director Kristin Daniels announced the proposed millage <br />rate for the Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU). <br />Chairman O'Bryan opened the public hearing.
