Board of Commissioners SWDD Final Budget Hearing Meeting Minutes - Final September 21, 2022 <br />6. INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SITTING AS SOLID <br />WASTE DISPOSAL DISTRICT BOARD <br />The Board of County Commissioners reconvened as the Board of Commissioners of <br />the Solid Waste Disposal District. The minutes will be approved at an upcoming <br />Solid Waste Disposal District meeting. <br />Solid Waste Disposal District Budget (Non -Ad Valorem Special District) <br />22-0774 Solid Waste Disposal District Budget (Non -Ad Valorem Special District) <br />Recommended Action: A. Announce 2022/2023 Proposed Charge and Budget <br />$92.18 per Residential Waste Generation Unit ($147.49/House) <br />(8.75% increase from current year) <br />$55.19 per Commercial Waste Generation Unit <br />(15.85% increase from current year) <br />Readiness -to -Use Fee $32.84 <br />(11.28% increase from current year) <br />2. $22,142,998 Budget <br />Attachments: RESOLUTIONS - SWDD <br />Management and Budget Director Kristin Daniels announced the proposed <br />Residential and Commercial Waste Generation Unit and Readiness -to -Use fee <br />charges and budget for the Solid Waste Disposal District. <br />Chairman O'Bryan opened the public hearing. There being no speakers, the <br />Chairman closed the hearing. <br />There were no proposed amendments to the budget. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Adams, seconded by Commissioner <br />Flescher, to approve Resolution 2022-064, establishing the assessment rate to be <br />levied upon all real taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for fiscal <br />year 2022-2023 for the Solid Waste Disposal District. The motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Earman, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Moss <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Adams, seconded by Chairman O'Bryan, to <br />approve Resolution 2022-065, amending the County Budget Officer's estimates of <br />receipts other than taxes and of balances to be brought forward for fiscal year <br />2022-2023 and adopting a final budget for the Solid Waste Disposal District. The <br />motion carried by the following vote: <br />Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Earman, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br />Flescher, and Commissioner Moss <br />Indian River County Florida Page 1 <br />
