We provide comprehensive support services to our participants who have been chosen through an admissions process. These services include academic enrichment, life -skill instruction, familiarization with college, financial literacy instruction, mentoring, community involvement, and engagement with the family for students grades 9-12. Purpose Driven Youth (PDY) staff will offer a summer bridge program that focuses on creating high-quality educational resumes, volunteer opportunities and college -career research and exposure to STEM activities. This includes a work readiness training module of key business -focus areas to prepare students for their work ready certification. During the school year, the program will offer whole group workshops, individualized meetings, phone/zoom calls and home visits to meet the needs of the participants' families. Summer hours are Monday, Wednesdays 4-6pm for group workshops/meetings, one group volunteer activity per month however students are encouraged to volunteer weekly, an optional bi-monthly Sunday evening session will be offered from 5-7pm. During the academic year, hours are flexible based on student's schedules and needs. Workshops/Tutoring sessions will be held at our office location or by Zoom if necessary. The projected number of unduplicated children to be served is thirty (30).
