Public Hearing Scheduled for Proposed Ordinance <br />Amending Section 105.01, IRC Code <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of January 2, 1996: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney p: d <br />DATE: January 2, 1996 <br />RE: REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE THE PROPOSED <br />.ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 105.01, INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY CODE <br />Under the authority of Section 105.01 of the County Code the County <br />Administrator is authorized to purchase or contract for supplies, <br />equipment, or services costing 55,000 or less. With the adoption of the <br />proposed ordinance the County can handle purchases of right-of-way <br />more expeditiously by authorizing the County Administrator to complete <br />small parcel right-of-way purchases under $5,000. <br />A proposed ordinance is attached to this memo. <br />Recommendation: Staff has reviewed the ordinance and requests <br />permission to advertise' it for a public hearing to be held on February <br />6, 1996. ' <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to advertise the ordinance amending.
