CONSENT AGENDA <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: September 9, 2022 <br />SUBJECT: Fiscal Year 2022/2023 State/County Contract <br />Indian River County Health Department <br />FROM: Kristin Daniels <br />Director, Management & Budget <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS <br />The Indian River County Health Department has submitted their annual contract for approval by <br />the Board of County Commissioners. The contract, required under Chapter 154, Florida <br />Statutes, contains the full annual operating budget, revenues and expenditure program plan for <br />the Health Department for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/2023. <br />This contract provides for county funding of the Health Department. The direct contribution for <br />FY 2022/2023 totals $775,604, which is level funding when compared to the current fiscal year <br />contract. In addition, the County provides maintenance and operations for Health Department <br />facilities. This is reflected as an in-kind contribution of $784,212.50 for a total County <br />contribution of $1,559,816.50. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding for the Florida Department of Health contract is provided by the General Fund. The <br />direct contribution is funded from account number 00110669-088190, and the in-kind <br />contribution is provided in the Facilities Management budget in the General Fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the contract. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Health Department Contract Cover Letter <br />Health Department Contract <br />278 <br />
