Prado, County Attorney <br />DATE: September 27, 2022 <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions Cancelling Taxes <br />ATTORNEY <br />Resolutions have been prepared for the purpose of earmarking the public use of the following <br />properties and cancelling any delinquent, omitted or current taxes which may exist on the <br />properties obtained by Indian River County: <br />Public Purpose: 8t' Street Right -of -Way for Hampton Park PD <br />Location/Description: Northeast Corner of 8th Street and 58th Avenue <br />Purchased from: Meritage Homes of Florida, Inc. <br />Instrument: Warranty Deed, recorded in Book 3571, Page 341 of the <br />public records of Indian River County <br />Public Purpose: 47th Street Right -of -Way for Broward Vero Storage SP <br />Location/Description: 4690 Old Dixie HWY and 2365 47th ST. <br />Purchased from: VERO STORAGE, LLC <br />Instrument: Warranty Deed, recorded in Book 3573 Page 916 of the <br />public records of Indian River County <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the Resolutions to <br />cancel certain taxes upon the properties purchased by Indian River County for a public purpose, <br />and the Clerk to send a certified copy of the Resolutions to the Tax Collector and the Property <br />Appraiser so that any delinquent or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolutions <br />�'Z11 <br />
