Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Work Order No. 2- GFA International, Inc. <br />Indian River Boulevard Resurfacing from 53r6 Street to <br />the Merrill Barber Bridge (IRC -1707) <br />DATE: October 20, 2022 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On December 4, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the annual agreement for <br />Professional Geotechnical Services, with GFA International, Inc. (GFA) for various services including, but <br />not limited to, field and laboratory construction materials testing in Indian River County and on <br />December 7, 2021 approved the renewal and amendment to the agreement. <br />The purpose of Work Order No. 2 is to provide laboratory testing and material engineering related <br />services for the widening and resurfacing of Indian River Boulevard between 53rd Street and Merrill <br />Barber Bridge. GFA submitted the proposal outlined in the attached Work Order No.2 and Scope of <br />Services (Exhibit A) for a not -to -exceed amount of $32,712.00. <br />Fi 1runitir; <br />Funding in the amount of $32,712.00 is available in Account No. 10921441-053360-21014/Secondary <br />Roads/Indian River Blvd Resurfacing (Barber Bridge to 53rd St). <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Work Order No. 2 to GFA International, Inc. authorizing the professional <br />services as outlined in the Scope of Services (Exhibit A) and requests the Board to authorize the <br />Chairman to execute Work Order No. 2 on their behalf for a not -to -exceed amount of $32,712.00. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />GFA International, Inc.
