BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />RESOLUTION NUMBER 75-30 <br />REGARDING: EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBER 911 <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Board of Commissioners <br />is responsible by law for the implementation of the emergency <br />911 telephone number system throughout Indian River County, and <br />WHEREAS, considering the value of such a system it is <br />apparent that the need is great and will be beneficial to the <br />general public and to the emergency services of any locality in <br />the State of Florida, and <br />WHEREAS, this Board acknowledges that all areas and <br />regions in the State of Florida must implement the statewide <br />emergency telephone system, and <br />WHEREAS, funding must be raised on a uniform statewide <br />basis, now <br />THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Indian River County <br />Legislative Delegation is hereby requested to support funding <br />legislation for the installation and recurrent charges for the <br />emergency 911 telephone number system. <br />DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st DAY OF MAY, 1.975. <br />ATTEST: <br />MhPH HARRIS, CLERK <br />f� <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIV��ER�� COUNT FLORI <br />BY: ezl t <br />Alma Lee Loy, Chairma <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM AND <br />LEGALITY: <br />County Attorney <br />
