PROJECT PLAN AND SUPPORTING DATA* <br />State clearly and in detail the aims of the project, precisely what will be done, who will be involved, <br />and what is expected to result. Use the following major headings: <br />A. STATEMENT OF THE PRO3LEM <br />B. ME ASU R- ABLE OBJECTIVES <br />C. EVALUATION <br />D. PI+OCEDUnES AND TIMETABLE <br />E. RESOURCES, <br />All of these topics are interrelated and should be written to reflect that fact. Clearly define a <br />manageable but significant problem and document the need for this particular pro;ect. State <br />measurable objectives which, if met, will have the projected effect on the problem stated. Develop a <br />plan for assessing the extent to which the project has met its stated cbi ectives. Organize procedures <br />and allocate resources in a manner that is realistic and compatible with tlt.i: objectives of the project. <br />Start below and use continuation panes as mcmary. <br />A. Obsolete equipment. <br />B. To upgrade equipment in order to comply with the State Division <br />of Communications Plan for Florida Counties and Municipal Law <br />Enforcement Agencies. <br />C. We can provide Sebastian, Fellsmere, and Indian River Shores, <br />as well as the Volunteer Ambulance Service with vastly improved <br />services. We will be able to have a relay system in order that <br />vehicles can dispatch car -to -car while in the field. This equip- <br />ment will eliminate the practice of any and all persons monitor- <br />ing the Police Band. New equipment will greatly aid in the comb <br />of crime in the State of Florida, which is one of the "rapid - <br />growth" areas in our nation. <br />D. This equipment, if granted, will be implemented immediately. <br />It will require no extensive training programs, or the hiring <br />of specialized personnel. All employees involved in the use of <br />this equipment meet the required standards for operation thereof <br />E. The Sheriff's Office has the facilities and trained personnel <br />to utilize this equipment immediately upon installation. We are <br />presently providing the above mentioned services with the old, <br />outmoded equipment, and are fully qualified to continue these <br />and additional services with modern equipment. <br />° See Instruction Manual, Section 11, Pages 1 through 4, for instructions on completing this section. <br />
