Szpyrka, P.E., Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)Highway Maintenance Memorandum of <br />Agreement (MMOA) for CR510 (85' Street) <br />FM No. 405606-7-52-01 (IRC -2230) <br />DATE: November 15, 2022 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Florida Department of Transportation is in the final stages of design for the CR510 (851 Street) project as <br />part of the County roadway system from CR512 to 87' Street and is preparing to move the project forward for <br />construction in 2025. <br />Florida Department of Transportation requires that the local agency governing board approve a resolution <br />accepting the attached Highway Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement (MMOA) outlining conditions for <br />the acceptance and maintenance of the project after construction is complete. <br />The attached MMOA is for the Florida Department of Transportation to construct the widening of CR510 from <br />two lanes to four, drainage improvements, stormwater retention ponds, and other related improvements. Once <br />the project has been constructed by FDOT and the final acceptance process has been completed, the County <br />will be responsible for the maintenance of all improvements associated with the project. <br />FUNDING <br />Once the project is complete and accepted by Indian River County, the maintenance expenses for <br />maintenance of the CR510 (85'h Street) project will be included in the Public Works Road and Bridge <br />budget. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Staff recommends the Board of County Commissioners approve the Authorizing Resolution for <br />acceptance of the MMOA and authorize the Chairman to execute the same. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Authorizing Resolution <br />Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM FOR November 22, 2022 <br />C:\Granicus\Legistar5\L5\Temp\d3197360-bOc8-4f46-8ef2-ba863d80fc95.docx 105 <br />
