• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-22 <br />® WHEREAS, on March 9, 1976 the citizens of Indian <br />River County voted on a Recreation Question and the result <br />of that vote was that a majority of the voting residents <br />throughout Indian River County, including its municipalities, <br />felt that recreation was a proper function of government; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is attempting to establish <br />a Recreation Program throughout the County; and <br />WHEREAS, to further the aims of establishing a <br />Recreation Program, it is deemed by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that a <br />Citizens Advisory Committee be designated to supply <br />input into the creation of a County Recreation Program; <br />NOW, THE'REF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that a <br />Citizens Recreation Committee for Indian River County <br />is hereby established and said Committee shall be made <br />up of seven (7) members, which members shall come from <br />diverse areas and backgrounds, and shall be appointed by <br />the Indian River County Commission and serve at its <br />pleasure; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Committee when <br />established shall formulate its own rules and procedures <br />and shall commence its function of helping to establish <br />a County -wide Recreation Program that will be satisfactory <br />to all segments of Indian River County. <br />************* <br />Such Resolution shall become effective as of the <br />7th day of April , 1976. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY., FLORIDA <br />WillardW.
