t <br />0 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-31 <br />_v WHEREAS, The Sebastian Inlet State Park has revolved over <br />the years into the most used State Park within the State of Florida; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, historically Indian River County has worked hand <br />in hand with the Department of Natural Resources and Cabinet of <br />the State of Florida in the development of said Park; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County donated its County Park to be <br />a portion of Sebastian Inlet State Park and at said time agreed <br />that no fees would be charged for access to the fishing areas; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cabinet in session on May 4, 1976: <br />(a) Recognized the valuable contributions made by the <br />citizens of Indian River County toward the Park's develop- <br />ment over the past fifty (50) years; <br />(b) Recognized prior agreements by the County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County with the State of Florida regarding <br />free access to the fishing areas; and <br />(c) Recognized the valuable contributions of the citizens <br />of Indian River County who donated land to further enhance <br />the Park area; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA That the Board by <br />this Resolution expresses its appreciation to the entire Cabinet <br />of the State of Florida for its actions taken on May 4, 1976 <br />regarding the Sebastian Inlet State Park for the continued free <br />access to the fishing areas within said Park; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Cabinet by its actions has <br />demonstrated its understanding of local problems and local contributions. <br />************************** <br />This Resolution shall become effective as of. the 5th <br />day of May , 1976. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER <br />/COUNY, FOR}DA <br />By <br />' rs�_iila�ra W. biebert, Jr., iia rman <br />Attest: <br />Ralph Barris, Clerk <br />
