40 <br />• <br />RESOLUTION NO, 76053 <br />WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Florida requires a <br />promulgation of rules and regulations for the assessment and <br />collection of taxes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Statutes call for "reasonable rules and <br />regulations to aid and assist"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue, under the direction of <br />the Executive Director, has promulgated rules and regulations <br />and held public hearings and forwarded the same to the Cabinet <br />for approval; and <br />WHEREAS, the Appraisers of Florida and Commissioners of <br />the various Counties are greatly concerned about the economic <br />impact on the various Counties to comply with the Section <br />designated as 12-D-8; and <br />WHEREAS, the implementation of 12-D-8 is a benefit only <br />to the Audit Division of the Ad valorem Tax Division of the <br />Department of Revenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the Appraisers of Florida and the various County <br />Commissioners desire the State to fund its own audits in the <br />Counties; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Appraisers of <br />Florida, and the County Commissioners of Florida, requests the <br />Cabinet of Florida, to completely remove Section 12-D-8 from <br />the proposed rules and regulations. <br />Such Resolution shall become effective as of the 21st <br />day of July , 1976. <br />ATTEST: <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />By <br />Willard/W.
