• <br />._ <br />> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />RESOLUTION NO, 76-92 <br />yr, <br />�v WHEREAS, by Resolution 7567 the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County pursuant to Florida Statute 125,60-64 <br />(1975) established a thirteen member Charter Commission to study <br />and make recommendations to the citizens of Indian River. County <br />regarding the most economical, efficient and effective form of <br />home rule government, and, <br />:a <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Indian River County Resolution 7567 Paul <br />G. Redstone received appointment as one of the thirteen Charter <br />>10 Commission members, and, <br />WHEREAS, Paul G. Redstone as a Charter Commission member con, <br />ducted a comprehensive study of the operation of county govern- <br />ment and as Chairman of the Special Tax Districts Committee <br />analyzed in depth methods to improve and reorganize our local <br />government for the benefit of all citizens in Indian River County <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, after long hours of study, organization meetings with <br />�p Sub-Conimittees, assimilation of material, preparation of tentativ <br />drafts, debates, and public hearings the Commission completed <br />,e the final Charter Document, submitting it to the Board of County <br />/D Commissioners of Indian River County on September 1, 1976, and, <br />WHEREAS, although the results of the Charter Referendum were <br />�p unsuccessful the citizens of Indian River County owe a great debt <br />of appreciation to Paul G. Redstone for his diligent efforts and <br />.gyp service to our community and county government, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- <br />missioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the Board ex- <br />tends its appreciation and honors Paul G. Redstone on behalf of <br />the citizens of Indian River County for his contribution and <br />diligent effort as a member of the Charter Commission and Chair. - <br />><D man of the Special Tax Districts Committee, <br />�� ► U�. <br />L0IZ�� Chairman,County Cornmissioncr's <br />
