C <br />•r%jOP, �'MrRAN RRIFEIR COUNTY, FLORIDA1T-0VAJZra 011, COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION NO, 76-94 <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 75-67 the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River Cminty pursuant to Florida Statute 125. 60-64 (1975) <br />established a thirteen member Charter Commission to study and make <br />recommendations to the citizens of Indin River County regarding <br />the most economical, efficient and effective form of home rule <br />government, and, <br />WII]sIIEAS, pursuant to Indian River County Resolution 75-67 J. B. <br />Egan, III, received appointment as one of the thirteen Charter <br />Commission inembers, and, <br />WHEREAS, J. B. Egan, III, as a Charter Commission member con- <br />ducted a comprehensive study of the operation of county government <br />and as Chairman of the Financial Committee analyzed in depth methods <br />to improve and reorganize our local government for the benefit of all <br />citizens in Indian hiver County, and, <br />WHEREAS, after long hours of study, organization meetings with Sub - <br />Committees, assimilation of material, preparation of tentative drafts, <br />debates, and public hearings the Commission completed the final <br />Charter Document, submitted it to the Board of County Commissioners <br />for Indian River County on September 1, 1976, and, <br />WHEREAS, although the results of the Charter Referendum were <br />unsuccessful the citizens of Indian River County owe a great debt of <br />appreciation to J. B. Egan, III, for his diligent efforts and service <br />to our Community and county government. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the. Board <br />extends its appreciation ;urd honors J. B.
