u <br />40 <br />' fi �l��' <br />OF RNMAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7697 <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 75-67 the Board of County Commissioners <br />\ ^ of Indian River County pursuant to Florida Statute 125.60-64(197 <br />established a thirteen member Charter Commission to study and <br />make recommendations to the citizens of Indian River County re- <br />garding the most economical, efficient and effective form of <br />home rule government, and, <br />I;1HEREAS, pursuant to Indian River County Resolution 75-,67 <br />Dr. Herman Heise received appointment as one of the thirteen <br />Charter Commission members, and, <br />WHEREAS, Dr. Herman Heise as a Charter Commission member <br />conducted a comprehensive study of the operation of county <br />government and as Chairman of the Internal Services Conuui.ttee <br />analyzed in depth methods to improve and reorganize our local <br />government for the benefit of all citizens in Indian River Coun <br />and, <br />MIEREAS, after long hours of study, organization meetings with <br />Sub -Committees, assimilation of material, preparation of tentat <br />drafts, debates, and public hearings the Commission completed <br />the final Charter document, submitted it to the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County on September 1., 1976, and <br />WHEREAS, although the results of the Charter Referendum were <br />unsuccessful the citizens of Indian River County owe a great <br />debt of appreciation to Dr, Herman Heise for his diligent effor <br />and service to our community and county government. <br />1\10I4, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commi_ssio <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that the Board extends its ap- <br />preciation and honors Dr, Herman Heise on behalf of the citizen <br />of Indian River County for his contribution and diligent effort <br />as a member of the Charter Commission and Chairman of the Inter' <br />Services Committee. <br />XD <br />XD <br />,.�_ ��-(SFr �j • _r�u (2_ <br />t 1 1P (.Lail mall,Colmty CoI11I11issio I -S <br />�.f7 <br />
