014 INDIAN RIVEIF, COUNTY, F LONINUA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7698 <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 75 - 67 the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County pursuant- to Florida <br />Statute 125.60-64 (1975) established a thirteen member <br />Charter Commission to study and make recommendations to <br />the citizens of Indian River County regarding the most <br />economical, efficient and effective form of biome rule <br />government, and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Indian'River County Resolution 75 - <br />67, John Tippin received appointment- as one of the thirteen <br />Charter Commission members, and, <br />WHEREAS, John Tippin as a Charter Commission member con- <br />ducted a comprehensive study of the operation of County <br />government and Ps Chairman of the Road: and Rr.i.dges <br />Committee, analyzed in depth methods to improve and re- <br />organize our local. government for the benefit or all <br />citizens in Indian River County, and, <br />WHEREAS, after long hours of study, organization meetings <br />with Sub -Committees, assimilation of material, preparation <br />of tentative drafts, debates, and public hearings, the <br />Commission completed the final Charter. Documo nt, submitting <br />it to the Board of County Commissioners for Indian River <br />County on September. 1, 19.76, and, <br />WHEREAS, although the results of the Charter Referendum were <br />unsuccessful,the citizens of. Indian River County owe a <br />great debt of appreciation to John Tippin for his diligent <br />efforts and service to our community and County government. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />)cam Commissioners of.
