• <br />i <br />RESOLUTION NO, 77-23 <br />WHEREAS, the District IX HRS (Applicant) is applying on <br />behalf of Indian River County, St. Lucie County, Martin County, <br />Palm Beach County and Okeechobee County for federal assistance <br />for emergency medical services, and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br />after thorough consideration of the problem and available data, <br />has determined that the Regional Management Organization Project <br />is in the best interest of the general pL')lic, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County, St, Lucie County, Martin County, <br />Palm Beach County and Okeechobee County are to be recipients of <br />federal funds pursuant to this application, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County agrees to work with District <br />IX Health and Rehabilitative Services in improving emergency medical <br />services throughout our five county region and to maintain any <br />improvement(s) to our Emergency Medical cervices system which are <br />gained through the use of federal EMS 1203 or 1204 monies, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County agrees to show good faith by <br />applying for grant monies other than Federal EMS 1203 and 1204 <br />monies directly available to county governments to further aid <br />in the development of our County's EMS system, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County agrees to make available their <br />appropriated share of hard cash match up to $5,000,00, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County reserves the right to review the <br />entire project at a later date and to establish and approve priorities <br />within the project as it deems to be in the best interest of Indian <br />River County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />1. That: the project generally described above is in the best <br />interest of Indian River County. <br />
