BOARD OF COUNTY C()MMESSIO1` ERS <br />O.F INDIAN RhVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 77-59 <br />WIIEREAS, on September 25, 1974 the Board of County Commissioner <br />of Indian River County, Florida appointed a BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE <br />ade up of the following designated citizens: <br />MRS. IRENE MENSER <br />SAM T. JOYCE <br />J. B. EGAN, III <br />MRS. LAURETTA CRAIG <br />MRS. PATRICIA CALLAHAN <br />ANGELO SANCHEZ <br />and <br />WHEREAS, SAM T. JOYCE graciously served as Co -Chairman of <br />the Indian River County BICENTENNIAL CO1*1ITTEE; and <br />WHEREAS, the BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE was charged with the <br />responsibility of promoting and conducting Indian River County <br />activities in cooperation with State and National Bicentennial <br />Celebrations; and <br />WHEREAS, during the Bicenten.,ial Year, Indian River County <br />proclaimed the 200th anniversary of our Nation's founding with <br />great display of patriotic spirit for the Country that we all love <br />and cherish; and <br />WHEREAS, the Bicentennial year now having passed and the <br />activities of the BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE being completed, the <br />citizens of our County desire to express their appreciation to <br />SAM T. JOYCE for the role played by him in organising the numerous <br />patriotic activities enjoyed by the citizenry of. Indian River <br />County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, LLORIDA, on behalf of itself <br />and its citizenry, expresses deep appreciation to the entire <br />1�ICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE and to SAM T. JOYCE as Co -Chairman for <br />the many hours unselfishly spent by him on behalf of our County <br />to make the Bicentennial Year and the celebrations enjoyed <br />therein such a great success. <br />.
