RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS APPROVING THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY COMMITTEE (AHAC) 2022 <br />REPORT AND DIRECTING STAFF TO SUBMIT THE COUNTY'S LOCAL <br />HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN TO FLORIDA HOUSING FINANCE <br />CORPORATION (FHFC) <br />WHEREAS, The County, on April 6, 1993, adopted ordinance 93-13, establishing the <br />county's Local Housing Assistance Program pursuant to section 420.9072, Florida Statutes <br />and Rule 67-37, F.A.C.; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to revised Section 420.9076(4), F.S., each local government <br />participating in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program must prepare an <br />Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Report that recommends to the local governing <br />body specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee <br />(AHAC) held a public hearing pursuant to the requirements of Section 420.9076(5), F.S., on <br />October 26, 2022 to review the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee's 2022 Report; and <br />WHEREAS, the AHAC at its October 26, 2022 public hearing voted to recommend <br />that the Board of County Commissioners approve the report; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee report must be <br />submitted to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation by December 31, 2022; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida THAT: <br />Section 1. <br />The above recitals are ratified in their entirety. <br />Section 2. <br />Attachment 1 <br />61 <br />
