RESOLUTION NO. 79 - fl <br />WHEREAS, effective the 23rd day of May 1979, the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, <br />adopted a Resolution No. 79 - 48, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board, after receiving information from <br />the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council and being aware <br />that numerous wells located along Sixth Avenue rear the <br />Indian River are not in the best interest of the residents <br />of Indian River County because of salt water intrusion and <br />other possible types of pollution that may occur, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida, deems it appropriate and in the best <br />interest of the health and welfare of the county to amend <br />Indian River County Resolution No. 79 - 48, Paragraph 3 (B) <br />(iii) , <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that <br />Resolution No. 79 - 48 is hereby amended by deleting Paragraph <br />3 (B) (iii) totally and substituting the following paragraph <br />in its place: <br />"Where a County Franchise is not required, a <br />private well system properly permitted by the <br />Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services <br />will be allowed.
