SECTION III <br />There is hereby granted by the County to the Corporation the non- <br />exclusive franchise, right and privilege to erect, construct, operate and <br />maintain a water system within the prescribed territory as herein provided <br />and for these purposes to sell and distribute water within the territory and <br />for these purposes to establish the necessary facilities and equipment and to <br />lay and maintain the necessary lines, pipes, mains and other appurtenances <br />i <br />necessary therefor in, along, under and across the public alleys, streets, <br />roads, highways, and other public places of the County; provided, however, <br />t that the County reserves the right to permit the use of such public places <br />for any and all other lawful purposes and subject always to the paramount <br />right of the public in and to such public places. <br />SECTION IV <br />l <br />The territory in which this franchise shall be applicable is all that <br />it <br />part of Indian River County, Florida, located within the following described <br />boundary lines, to -wit: <br />li Lots 9 and 12, VERO LAND COMPANY SUBDIVISION, according <br />to the Plat filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of <br />St. Lucie County, Florida, in Plat Book 3, Page 19; said land now <br />lying and being in Indian River County, Florida. <br />Ili <br />'I <br />The Corporation shall at all times during the life of this franchise <br />be subject to all lawful exercise of the police power and regulatory <br />authority as the County shall hereafter by resolution provide. <br />-2- <br />
