Dale Patchett, the Represernta <br />tive of the 48th District to the Florida house of Representatives; <br />�� <br />and <br />WHEREAS, these efforts have resulted in the advancement <br />c� <br />of the public interest and the general welfare of the citizens <br />of Indian River County and the State of Florida; and <br />�Jr� <br />c <br />MIERE;AS, the personal leadership of. Representative R. <br />� <br />Dale Patchett as'Chairman of the Sub -Committee on Environmental <br />` <br />Permitting and Protection of the full douse Committee on Natural <br />c <br />Resources resulted in legislation rbstructuring Florida's 11 <br />Regional Planning Councils, that being House Bill 1452; and <br />-! <br />J <br />MiEREA.''i, the Chairmanship of R. Dale Patchett in the <br />same Sub -Committee and through his personal leadership efforts <br />c <br />resulted in streamlining the development of regional impact <br />and environmental permitting processes, that being house Bill <br />1422; and <br />} <br />WHEREAS, Representative R. Dale Patchett's personal leader <br />ship on the floor of the House of Representatives during the <br />�� <br />last days of the session aided in defeating a number of amendment!31_i <br />to the DRI Bill have diminished <br />which would local government <br />C-/-) <br />home rule decision making in the area of land use, zoning and <br />licensing; <br />�> <br />, <br />NOW, THE'llEFORE, BE IT REiSOLVL•'D BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA: <br />That the Board take this opportunity to honor and thank' <br />Representative R. Dale Patchett for his excellent personal leader- <br />ship, legislative record, and the contributions he has m:uie to the <br />citizens of Indian River County and the citizens of the StateI <br />of Florida. <br />c <br />Said Resolution shall become effective as of the 9th <br />day of.
