80 96 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, RICHARD "DICK" BIRD was appointed by the Board of <br />bounty Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida; to serve as <br />a member of the Indian River County Planning and 'Zoning Commission <br />bn January 8, 1975; and <br />WHEREAS, RICHARD "DICK" BIRD was appointed Chairman of the <br />Indian River County Planning and Zoning Commission on January 12, <br />1978 and served in that capacity with great distinction; and <br />WHEREAS, during his tenure in office RICHARD "DICK" BIRD h <br />worked diligently iii his representation of the people of Indian <br />River County; and <br />WHEREAS, RICHARD "DICK" BIRD has been instrumental in the <br />adoption of legislation which have made Indian River Country a bett <br />t)lace in which to live, among them being: <br />Adoption of Revisions to Mobile Home Ordinance <br />Adoption of Comprehensive Land Use Plan and proposed <br />revisions <br />Study and subsequent rezoning of Spoil Islands <br />Adoption of Subdivision Regulation Ordinance <br />Adoption of Site Plan Approval Ordinance and the <br />Amendment to include Minor Site Plan Approval <br />Adoption of Landscape Ordinance <br />Proposed rezoning of State Road 510-512 <br />Proposed rezoning of Oslo Road <br />Constantly up -dating of Zoning Districts for Indian River <br />County; <br />WHEREAS, RICHARD "DICK" BIRD has served the people of Indian <br />River County not only in his official capacity as a member of the <br />Indian River County Planning and Zoning Commission but in active <br />participation in many civic organizations; and <br />WHEREAS, RICHARD "DICK" BIRD has announced his resignation <br />from said Commission to be effective October 8, 1980; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM- <br />ii4ISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board on behalf <br />9f itself and the citizens of Indian River County, expresses its <br />heartfelt thanks and appreciation to RICHARD "DICK" BIRD for a job <br />sell done; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board wishes RICHARD "DICK" <br />IRD continued success in his future endeavors. <br />11VER <br />CnR�O�° <br />Said Resolution shall become effective <br />as of the 24th day of September , 1980. <br />Chairmdn,Counfy Commiseloder'- <br />
