RESOLUTION NO. 80-138 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that in order to facilitate improved rela- <br />tionships between mobile home residents and mobile home park owners; <br />and to improve unsafe or deteriorated conditions within mobile home <br />parks, the Board hereby establishes an ad hoc committee to be known <br />as the "INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MOBILE HOME AD HOC COMMITTEE", to be <br />made up of members from the following designated areas: <br />Two (2) members shall have no interest or affiliation <br />with mobile home parks; <br />Two (2) members shall be mobile home park owners or their <br />representatives; <br />Three (3) members shall be residents of mobile home parks, <br />none of which shall come from the same mobile home park; <br />as to the three (3) categories above, the members shall be permanent <br />residents and electors of Indian River County and possess a reputa- <br />tion for integrity, civic accomplishment and professional or business <br />ability; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, after the appointments have been <br />made by the Board of County Commissioners, the INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />MOBILE HOME AD HOC COMMITTEE shall elect a Chairman, Vice Chairman <br />and Secretary and meet publicly after notice as often as the COMMITTEE <br />determines, filing a preliminary report with the Board of County <br />Commissioners within approximately one hundred eighty (180) days after <br />appointment. All meetings shall be tape recorded, and the COMMITTEE <br />shall meet no less than four (4) times prior to filing the preliminary <br />report. During the initial one hundred eighty (180) day phase, the <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY MOBILE HOME AD HOC COMMITTEE shall meet and <br />discuss common problems that exist between mobile home park residents <br />and owners and provide a public forum for public participation. <br />Approximately sixty (60) days subsequent to the preliminary report <br />and after input from the Board of County Commissioners, the INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY MOBILE HOME AD HOC COMMITTEE shall file a final report, <br />which report shall include suggestions as to any additional legisla- <br />tion that may be necessary and a review of the effectiveness of the <br />existing statutory authority; and <br />
