i <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Community thrives through <br />the volunterism and generous dedication of time contributed by <br />residents who live in our County; and <br />WHEREAS, ALDIS P. BUTLER has from 1964, dedicated himself <br />to promoting high ideals and increasing the quality of life <br />within Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, ALDIS P. BUTLER has served on the Civic Arts <br />Advisory Committee for the City of Vero Beach from its inception <br />in 1.969 -through September 1, 1981 and has served as Chairman <br />of the Civic Arts Center Property Development Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, ALDIS P. BUTLER serves on the Board of Trustees of <br />the Vero Beach Community Trust, the Board of. Directors of Friends <br />of Riverside Theatre, and the Board of Trustees of the Alliance <br />for the Arts; and <br />WHEREAS, ALDIS P. BUTLER has previously served as President <br />of the Vero Beach -Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, has <br />served on the United Wav of Indian River County, Heart Association <br />of Indian River County, and as President of the Indian River Count <br />Red Cross; and <br />WHEREAS, ALDIS P. BUTLER, through his volunteer efforts, <br />has substantially improved and increased the cultural activities <br />available to the citizens of our County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COM- <br />MISSIONERS OE' INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, on behalf of all <br />the citizens of our County, a grateful appreciation is expressed <br />and acknowledged for the untiring efforts of ALDIS P. BUTLER <br />in leading and serving our County through the accomplishments <br />described; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Com- <br />iissioners honors ALDIS P.
