-1- <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-41 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />® <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. <br />81-27, PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF ASSESSMENT TO <br />RAISE SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO ELIMINATE A PACKAGE SEWAGE <br />TREATMENT SYSTEM, BRING A DETERIORATED COLLECTION AND <br />® <br />PUMPING SYSTEM UP TO ACCEPTABLE STANDARDS FOR THE <br />ULTIMATE TAKEOVER OF TOTAL WASTE WATER SERVICE BY THE <br />CITY OF VERO BEACH; PROVIDING FOR THE TOTAL ESTIMATED <br />COST OF THE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF PAYMENT <br />OF ASSESSMENTS BY THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY SPECIALLY <br />BENEFITED BY THE PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR THE NUMBER OF <br />ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS AND A DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA <br />SPECIFICALLY BENEFITED. <br />•• <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County finds and determines that it is necessary and in the <br />public's best interest to eliminate a certain package sewage treat- <br />ment system and make improvements to the collection and pumping <br />system within the area described in Exhibit "A", and <br />WHEREAS, the total estimated prorated cost of the <br />improvements necessary to service the property described in Exhibit <br />"A" is $154,509.85, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners after examina- <br />tion of the utilization of the proposed improvements determines <br />that the property described in Exhibit "A" shall receive a direct <br />and special benefit from the proposed improvements, and <br />WIiEREAS, the special assessment provided hereunder shall <br />become due and payable at the Office of the Tax Collector of Indian <br />River County ninety days after the final determination of the <br />special assessment pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance 81-27, <br />any assessments not paid within said period shall bear interest at <br />a rate established by the Board of County Commissioners at the time <br />of preparation of the final assessment roll, payable in two equal <br />installments; the first being, six months from the due date and the <br />second, one year from the due date. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: <br />1. The foregoing recitals are ratified and approved, <br />and <br />2. The project to provide for the elimination of a <br />package sewage treatment plant and bring a deteriorated collection <br />and pumping system up to acceptable standards for the ultimate <br />-1- <br />
