1 <br />l <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-77 <br />�A RM..AUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF APPLICATIONS FOR INCLUSION IN THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FY83/84 AND FY84/85 <br />EROSION CONTROL TRUST FUND BUDGET. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has experienced severe <br />erosion of its beaches and dunes, and <br />WHEREAS, the <br />�.�,� Corps of Engineers has studied the erosion <br />problems of Indian River County and has set forth its recommenda- <br />tions and solutions in the form of a beach restoration plan, and <br />WHEREAS, the County pians a number of beach and park <br />improvements in the near future which include restoration of dune <br />and vegetation and dune walkover structures to prevent further <br />degradation of the dunes, and <br />WHEREAS, the State funds are now available to assist the <br />County in implementing some of these beach improvements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY that the Chairman of the <br />Board and Clerk are authorized to execute and submit the following <br />two applications to the Department of Natural Resources for <br />inclusion in the Erosion Control Trust Fund Budget for FY83/84 and <br />FY84/85. <br />1. Application requesting the State's participation in <br />beach restoration projects at Sebastian Inlet Park and within the <br />limits of the City of Vero Beach in the amount of $1,003,300.00. <br />2. An application requesting State participation for <br />dune revegetation and construction of dune walkover structures in <br />the amount of $51,629.00. <br />Be it further resolved that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County further request the <br />Department's of Natural Resources favorable review of Indian River <br />County's application and inclusion in the budget for FY83/84 and <br />FY84/85. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Wodtke and, upon being put to a <br />vote, the vote was as follows: <br />
