of <br />4W <br />A• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-89 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 82-47; TO PROVIDE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS. <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82-47 established the Indian <br />River County Library Advisory Board but did not specify mandatory <br />attendanoo requirements or provide for prompt replacement of <br />members who are not able to attend meetings regularly so as to <br />fulfill the purpose of their appointment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. A fourth paragraph is created and added to Section <br />II of Resolution No. 82-47 to read as follows: <br />Any member who, without good cause, misses three <br />consecutive Advisory Board meetings shall be deemed to have <br />resigned his or her appointment and such vacancy shall be filled <br />promptly by the original appointing authority upon notification by <br />the Chairman of the Advisory Board. <br />2. This amendment shall become effective immediately <br />upon adoption. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was <br />as follows: <br />Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Vice -Chairman A.
