RESOLUTION NO. 83-1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF AN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT <br />MAINTENANCE AND SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS <br />AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Community Affairs has <br />announced that Indian River County's Emergency Management <br />Assistance and Maintenance Services Program allocations for <br />Federal fiscal year 1983 have been approved and the program will <br />become effective upon execution of the attached contract by Indian <br />River County, and <br />WHEREAS, the contract specifies that the State of <br />Florida will provide a maximum sum of $12,834.00 and the County <br />will provide another $12,834.00 for a total of $25,668.00, and <br />WHEREAS, the contract provides that the liability of the <br />County under the agreement shall not exceed the total of the funds <br />received by the Grantee for this purpose. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman <br />and the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners are authorized <br />and di.rected to execute the attached agreement. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyonrs who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner. Fletcher and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was <br />as follows: <br />Chairm,,n lc.chacd N. Bird Aye <br />Vice -Chairman Don C.
