STEP 17: STAFF PLANNER: <br />After the Planning and Zoning hearing on the amendment <br />requests, the staff planner should prepare a recommendation for <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners on approval <br />or disapproval of the amendment. This recommendation must be <br />reviewed and approved by both the Planning and Zoning Manager <br />and the Community Development Division Director. <br />STEP 18: STAFF PLANNER: <br />The staff planner should next put the land iisF amendment <br />request on the agenda of the Board of County Commissioners' <br />meeting for which notification of the public hearing had been <br />published. <br />STEP 19: STAFF PLANNER: <br />The staff planner who has prepared the recommendation should <br />present it to the Board of County Commissioners at the <br />scheduled meeting. This should occur during the first or <br />second weeks of April. <br />STEP 20: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br />The land use amendment request will be approved/disapproved by <br />a majority vote of the total membership of the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />STEP 21: STAFF PLANNER: <br />The staff planner should send a letter to the applicant inform- <br />ing him/her of the action taken by the Board of County Commis- <br />sion on the land use amendment request. <br />I' <br />STEP 22: PLANNING TECHNICIAN: <br />The Planning Technician should change the land use and zoning <br />maps, where applicable. <br />-9- <br />
