REBOU CN NO. 84- 17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />0WMISSIOV1ERS OF INDIAN RIVER CCRJNTY, <br />FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ADDI- <br />TIONAL ASPHALT PAVING IMPROVEI4UM <br />TO 10T11 COURT BE1VIE]EN 2ND STR= AND <br />4TH STREET; PROVIDING THE Tl7TAL <br />ADDITIONAL: COST, METHOD OF PAYMENT <br />OF ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF <br />A-Tf AL INTSTl.T. LMzNTS, AND M4,L <br />DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA SPECIALLY <br />BLNEFITEO. <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has re- <br />ceived a public inTproverent petition, signed by more than 2/3 of the <br />owners of property in the area to be specially benefited, requesting <br />paving and drainage improvements to 10th Court between 2nd Street and <br />4th Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the petition has been verified and meets the <br />requirements of Ordinance 81-27; and <br />WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of the proposed im- <br />provements is $26,169.45; and <br />Wnc.RF.AS, the County constructed paving and drainage <br />improvements costing $7.1,119.46 along 10th Court '.i June, 1983, due to <br />adverse weather conditions, base preparation, and asphalt placement, <br />additional asphalt was placed in November, 1983, costing $2,356.53; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, prior to placement of the above additional <br />asphalt the County assessed the property owners $6.4794 per front foot <br />which was substantially less than the approved, advertised, prelim- <br />ia.s estimate of $0.012 per front foot; and <br />WHEREAS, an additional special assessm?nt is prosyided <br />hereunder and shall, for any given record owner of property within the <br />area specially benefited, be in an amount equal to that proportion of <br />seventy-five percent(75%) of the total additional cost of the asphalt <br />paving which the number of lineal feet of road frontage owned by the <br />Riven owner burg to the total ntmber of lineal feet of road frontage <br />within the area specially benefited, and shall become- due and payable <br />at the Office of the Tax Collector of Indian River County ninety (90) <br />days after the date of this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County shall pay the remaining <br />twenty-five percent(25%) of the total additional cost of the project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the rate of specials assessment shall be equal <br />to $ .7215 per front foot for each owner, equaling the total addi- <br />tional assessments reflected in the attached assessment roll; and <br />WHEREAS, this resolution shall serve as approval for <br />both the preliminary and final assessment rolls for this project; and <br />
