RESOLUTION NO. 84-42 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, COMMENDING THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE; ALSO KNOWN AS THE EMS COUNCIL FOR <br />EXTRAORDINARY EFFORTS IN COMPLETING THE COMMITTEE'S <br />MISSION. <br />WHEREAS, the Emergency Medical Services Advisory <br />Committee, also known as the Emergency Medical Services Council, <br />was created by the Board of. County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida on the 16th day of December, 1981 by the County <br />Commission to evaluate the needs, community support and medical <br />necessity for an Emergency Medical Service Program, and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee diligently commenced their <br />task and held numerous meetings and spent countless hours <br />completing the mission assigned by the County Commission, and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee has provided the County and its <br />residents with invaluable help in coordinating the introduction of <br />the 9.11 System and in helping to rid the system of its problems, <br />I and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee has served to coordinate the <br />provision of emergency services and has been utilized to moderate <br />disputes between various jurisdictions. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that; <br />1. The members of the Emergency Medical Services <br />Advisory Committee, a/k/a FMS Council, are commended for their <br />outstanding contribution to the community in completing their <br />mission, and <br />2. Having completed its function in an exemplary <br />manner, the committee is hereby dissolved. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was <br />as follows; <br />Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Vice Chairman Patrick B. Lyons Aye <br />Commissioner Richard N. Bird Aye <br />Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman Absent <br />Commissioner William C. Wodtke, Jr. Aye <br />-1- <br />
