p <br />V <br />2 0 1994 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-43 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, CREATING THE EMERGENCY <br />SERVICES COORDINATING COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, it has become apparent to the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that a Coordinating <br />Committee is necessary to discuss and help resolve problems that <br />occur from time to time with the various jurisdictions and <br />entities that provide emergency services in our County. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />1. The County Commission hereby creates Indian River <br />County Emergency Services Coordinating Committee with the <br />following responsibilities: <br />a. To help mediate and resolve communication <br />problems that may arise between the various jurisdiction and <br />entities that provide emergency services to our County, including <br />problems which may arise with respect to the 911 System. <br />b. To coordinate "dual response" problems that <br />arise between services providing jurisdictions and entities. <br />C. To make recommendations to help avoid and <br />resolve jurisdictional conflicts in providing emergency services. <br />2. The number of members and the appointments to the <br />Committee shall be determined from time to time by the <br />Commissioners assigned as the 911 coordinator, from organizations <br />involved in the 911 System. <br />3. This Committee shall exist until. dissolved by motion <br />and majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows! <br />Chairman Don <br />C.
