r-. <br />40 <br />of <br />5. A representative of the financial community <br />(two-year term), <br />6. A representative of the Chamber of Commerce <br />(one-year term), <br />7. A representative of the County Commission <br />(t'siv-Y tvr.11J, <br />8. A representative of agri-business (two-year term), <br />9. A representative of land development interests <br />(two-year term), <br />10. Such ex officio, nonvoting imembers as shall be <br />appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who <br />shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. <br />SECTION 3. RESPONSIBILITY AND FUNCTION OF COMMITTEE. <br />I. The function of the Committee shall be advisory in <br />nature. All recommendations and advice from the Committee shall <br />be transmitted directly to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />2. The Committee shall make recommendations on the <br />processing, prioritization, and propriety of all applications for <br />industrial development revenue bonds in Indian River County. <br />3. The Committee will endeavor to identify industries <br />and businesses that will be beneficial to Indian River County and <br />advise the County Commission on methods of enhancing the chance of <br />such industries and businesses locating in the community. <br />4. The Committee will work with the Chamber of Commerce <br />in broadening the economic base of the community. <br />5. The Committee will consider the potential of <br />country -wide advertising and promotional campaigns. <br />6. The Committee will endeavor to assist industry and <br />business in finding locations within this county in conformance <br />with the County's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code. <br />7. The Committee shall undertake such other tasks as <br />shall be assigned from time to time by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County. <br />SECTION 4. ADMINISTRATION, CLERICAL/LEGAL. <br />The County Administrator, the County Attorney and <br />Secretary to the Board shall provide the Committee with <br />reasonable assistance to perform its duties. <br />-2- <br />
