The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed <br />RESOLUTION NO. 54-103 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE B ARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNT FLORIDA, DEMONSTRATING <br />THEIR EFFORTS IN PROV DING NONDISCRIMINATE HOUSING <br />CHOICE TO MINORITIES RESIDING IN THIS JURISDICTION. <br />WHEREAS, will affirmatively further fair housing throughout <br />the jurisdiction by adhering to and complying with all applicable <br />i <br />federal and state laws; and <br />WHEREAS, housing choices will be provided for low and <br />moderate income families and minorities outside of areas where <br />minorities and low and moderate income families are concentrated; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, minority and/or low income groups are assisted in <br />housing throughout the community; and <br />WHEREAS, enable low and moderate income persons to remain <br />in neighborhoods that are experiencing revitalization and <br />substantial displacement, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that <br />1. Indian River County is and will continue to comply and <br />support fair housing within this jurisdiction. <br />2. Indian River County will continue to provide assisted <br />housing throughout the community under the Department of Housing <br />and Urban Development's Section 8 Program. <br />3. The Chairman and the Clerk of the Board of County <br />Commissioners are authorized to execute this resolution. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner 11odtke <br />who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Bird and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Vice Chairman Patrick B.
